Open-faced | 29 December 2008

I dreamt about ordering an open-faced turkey sandwich at a deli, but after waiting for ages while everyone else got their sandwiches, the server finally told me that it wouldn’t be ready until Friday because it took them fifteen days to roast a turkey. Although we established that my dream was actually about an ottoman, we went out for lunch and found me a delicious open-faced hot turkey sandwich anyway, with gravy, heavenly mashed potatoes, and overcooked kernels of corn.

Then we stumbled into a used bookstore, out of which we came with arms heavy-laden. I’m off work all week, reading three books at once and actually taking pictures (above: through the ground glass of the now-defunct Seagull TLR) and finally hauling out the winter clothes and meeting an old friend from high school. I have made lists of plans which may come to pass.
