My own, personal, self-published first edition of Sir Charles Grandison. Buying an actual ISBN’d copy proved to be remarkably expensive and/or difficult, and printing the book double-sided on reams of multipurpose copy paper at the library was not appealing — the internet came to the rescue with a company that would print and bind the 619 pages I managed to mangle the seven volumes down to, with the clever use of tiny fonts and little to no margins, at a remarkably reasonable cost. The formatting needs some serious work, but later editions will be improvements, probably divided into two volumes of a smaller size, with a full table of contents of all letters, useful headers and footers, and endnotes and footnotes in their proper place. But for now the first edition and I will be very happy together.
